Border Collie Trust has worked with several colleagues and universities offering work experience placements for students undertaking an animal related course over the years. Due to the number of enquiries we receive we can only offer placements to those who are undertaking a course, minimum of Level Three Animal Care course, requiring in excess of 150 hours experience as a one day a week placement.
The placement will be for an 8 hour day, between 08:30 and 18:00 with 1.5 hours for lunch taken between 12:30 and 14:00. Any individual changes to these hours can be discussed prior to starting the placement, but we do expect them to remain in place for the entire placement unless any emergency situations arise. Refreshments are not provided.
In the event you are unable to attend at any point we ask for a perosanl contact by phone call to our office Monday - Friday or the Manager/Assistant Manager at weekends. Voicemails, emails, text messages and messages via social media are not considered "personal contact"
We can also consider students undertaking courses that require a full time placement over a two week or more period.
