The links to other areas of this section, will take you to specific areas of support which we hope will interest you in helping collies in need. Some such as when you are shopping online will cost you nothing extra whilst raising valuable funds for our work, or perhaps join our Mobile Lottery
The Support Us Online section has lots of similar ideas.

Give A Dog A Home
One of the best ways to help is to give a dog a home. Details of all the dogs available for rehoming can be seen here - dogs needing new homes.

A Donation.
Donations are so important to our work and make a real difference to collies in need. Please consider donating today
In addition, with Just Giving you can attract online sponsorship for any fundraising events you may hold. If you send a cheque and you are a tax payer please complete a Gift Aid Declaration which you can find here - this allows us to reclaim the tax you have paid on that and any future donations.
We are always delighted to receive money donations, but also pleased to receive donations of articles such as toys for the dogs, blankets, food, collars and lead's, etc.
An excellent way to donate is to send us a book of postage stamps. We do send numerous letters etc every week and any donated stamps would help offset our postage costs
Examples of how your donation can help - £10 feeds a dog for two weeks. £10 treats a dog for fleas and ticks. £10 provides worming treatment for three dogs. £10 buys two collars and leads. £10 buys a dog bed and bowl.
The Trust receives requests from time to time on how it may be included in a Will. This is a very emotive subject that is best discussed with family and appropriate legal representatives, however a file is available for you to download or view online that outlines the basic principles in this matter. Download or view Legacy document in Word format or in pdf format

From time to time we are approached by other rescues, organisations or individual owners concerning a collie in urgent need of veterinary help where funds are not available or limited. The Collie Care Fund was set up to celebrate our 10 year anniversay at Colton in 2007 to provide financial support in these circumstances. To read more or to donate to this scheme follow this link

Gift For A Donation
How often do we struggle to buy gifts for friends, relatives and neighbours. not knowing what they would like? How many gifts have you passed on or used at car boot sales? Perhaps it would be much easier if we asked those who normally buy gifts (that perhaps we don't need or want) to make a donation to a charity instead. How much easier would that be for all us and how much more useful would that gift be to any charity. We hope you'll consider the idea and if you choose Border Collie Trust as your charity we can provide cards to offer as a suggestion to your family and friends. Simply email us with your name and address and the number of cards you would like.
Tell your friends
By simply spreading the word you can help The Trust, it's amazing how many people hear about us by word of mouth. People have often then become involved with, fund raising themselves or offering practical help - building work and repairs, gardening even dog walking. Perhaps you or a group of friends would like to visit the centre and see what we do and how we do it. There is no limit to what we can do with willing helpers. Although much requires the necessary funding it's surprising how much can be achieved with enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Remember - if you would like to know more telephone the office on 01889 577058 or email us
